I am a trained workplace mediator and coach with a particular focus on workplace mediation. Through my previous work I have gained extensive experience of supporting individuals who were dealing with conflict and stress in the workplace. I have worked in a large organisation where I co-ordinated and ran a very successful mediation service.
Mediation like counselling requires confidentiality where two or more people are in conflict or dispute. Mediation is a process that involves the parties coming together to find a win/win solution for all parties. The outcome of the mediation must always be guided by the parties as they are the people who have to progress with the agreed outcome. Mediation is a guided negotiation process with the parties, allowing them to explore and appreciate differences, whilst looking towards the future rather than dwelling on past issues. Workplace mediation can be a solution to resolving conflict rather than a formal grievance process.
Mediation can also be helpful to couples who want resolve unhelpful negative patterns in their relationship and who want to attain a deeper understanding of their communications.
